The county seat of Independence County, Batesville is a growing and prosperous community. The excellent quality of life enjoyed by the people who live, work, and play here is a result of a concentrated effort and a good working relationship among the city, county, and Chamber of Commerce. This vibrant area, located in the foothills of the beautiful Ozark Mountains, provides an atmosphere conducive to cooperative growth and development.
